Foundation Progress

Over the past week the footers and basement walls have been poured.  We're amazed at how quick that was done.  We drove over Thursday because we were so anxious and were so happy to see that since we just broke ground Monday.  It has since been waterproofed and underground plumbing was started.  We went into the basement which made the feeling so real. It actually looked small until we got into the basement.  I even kept asking my hubby if they got our model wrong somehow.  Looks like we're about the same stage as our neighbors now, who started a week before us, but not sure what model they are building yet.  Hopefully, they finish the underground piping and pour the slab this week, but we will call our PM this week for our weekly update.

This week's progress:
 Waterproofed basement walls:

Rough-ins in the basement for a future full bath
Overall underground plumbing.

Can't wait to see what they do in the upcoming week!

  1. I was convinced they had built the wrong house too, when the concrete was poured! I just didn't understand how those little walls could equate to our 2700 sq foot home. You'll have walls really quickly, and then it will all make sense. Kinda. :)

  2. Congrats on the progress. We can honestly say ours did not look small, but our basement is huge. It really isn't until the drywall goes up that you get a real good sense of it's true size.
